Metropolitan Library Resources

The Metropolitan Library is Oklahoma City's public library system.  Metro Library offers a wealth of resources, including books and electronic resources for student research.

To obtain a library card at Metro Library, students under 17 will need a parent's or guardian's signature.  Any student in the Oklahoma City area can get a library card, even if he or she does not live in the city, and the process is simple.  You will likely need a library card for your English classes, so please consider taking the time to sign up for one.  It's free!

Metro Library’s online resources are available from HCP or home computers if you have a library card.

How to use Metro Library's online resources:

  1. Go to the Metro Library website:
  2. Click on “Databases”
  3. Click on the tab that relates to the subject you are interested in.  If you do not know which databases to use, ask Ms. Moore or a librarian at Metro Library.
  4. You will need the ID number from your library card to log in, unless you are on-site at the Metro Library.
