PowerSchool is Harding Charter Preparatory's student
information system, used to record and track student records, including
grades and attendance. It’s an award-winning system that allows
educators and administrators to effectively and conveniently manage
student records. It also allows us to share attendance and grade
information with parents. To check the status of your student's grades
and attendance, to be able to contact teachers, and view announcements,
visit the website:

(note that you DO NOT use the www.)

The opening screen will ask for your Username and Password.
If you do not have a Username and Password, please fill out the HCP PowerSchool Log On Form(pdf),and return to the HCP Office to get access
Once you have access and are logged in, you will see:
- Student's attendance, by class period, for the previous and current weeks
- Student's courses and current grades
- toolbar at the top of the screen that allows you to navigate to other pages
To email a teacher in PowerSchool: click on the teacher's name (written in blue), under subject taught.
For more information regarding a grade:
click on the grade(written in blue). This takes you to another page that
lists the assignments for that particular class and the specific grade
your student made on each assignment. The due date for each of these
assignments is also listed. If an assignment is written in blue, you may
click on it to read a description of that assignment, written by the
teacher.
For more information regarding an absence: click on the number (written in blue) under the absences column. This will give you the specific date for absences.
Common absent codes you might see:
AU-Unexcused absence(parent/guardian did not call in absence)
AE-Excused absence(parent call in absence)
TU-Unexcused tardy
TE-Excused tardy
C-Conference
CV-College Visit(juniors and seniors only-does not count toward absences)
M-Medical absence(does not count towards absences)
F-Family emergency(does not count toward absences)
REMEMBER: At a student's 10th absence in class, they lose credit.
