Jillian Thomas
Library Media Specialist

Ms. Thomas is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. For a time during her senior year in Uni, she worked part time at Norman Public Library. She began her career in an inner city school in Oklahoma City as an English and Title I Reading teacher. While discussing books with students is her first favorite activity, her second favorite is learning. Therefore, she began graduate school at Oklahoma State University in order to achieve her Master's degree and pursue a certification as a School Library Media Specialist.  Eventually, she decided to move abroad to work in International Schools in Korea and Brazil, teaching the children of fellow expats.Throughout that time, she taught students from every continent aside from Antarctica!

Ms. Thomas has just returned to Oklahoma after five years living outside of the United States. Her international homes will always have a special place in her heart, along with the dozens of other places she traveled. Fala português? Podemos praticar!

In her free time, she loves doing yoga, listening to podcasts, reading, writing, playing video games, volunteering at the OKC Animal Welfare Shelter, playing board games, and hanging out with her cat, Books.

She is so happy to be here at Harding! Go Eagles!
